This post I guess is really about nothing. I just want to keep up with this blog.
Right now I am listening to The Sorcerer's Apprentice soundtrack. Great music. I need to listen to more soundtracks more often. They are works of art. And when you are writing, they give a backdrop to your story I have found.
I need to do more writing. Especially since I want to be a screenplay writer. Or, more accurately, it is something I am interested in pursuing. But the only way to do it is to sit down and write. For me, I will start a story, but I have yet to finish one, and then when I pick it up months later to continue working on it, I have forgotten where I meant the story to go. It is a really bad habit I am trying to break. Not a good thing to have.
Now that I think about it, seeing things through to the end is something I need to work on in general. I struggle with it in writing, in making movies, in quite a few areas in my life. It is a weakness that is not very good to have. You don't get much done if you only start something and never finish it. I can think of countless things I have started and never finished. It is not a very good characteristic. I want to be a reliable person. If someone gives me a project, I want to be able to finish it. That is the responsible thing to do. If I can't finish the little things, how can I be expected to finish the larger things?
Food for thought.
